Veteran-Owned NJ Pest Control Earns Distinction from US Department of Veteran Affairs

Russel SeibRussell Sieb ’95, a Gulf War Navy veteran who served during Desert Storm, is the owner of NJ Pest Control in Mount Freedom, New Jersey. His company was recently verified as a Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) by the US Department of Veteran Affairs, Center for Verification and Evaluation. NJ Pest is the only pest control company in New Jersey with this coveted distinction.

“I’ve worked hard and with a focus on building my company on pride, ethics, and honesty. Becoming a VA-verified business was important to me because
we strive to offer consumers the best possible service, at a reasonable price and we’re committed to working with the highest level of integrity,” Sieb commented.

Sieb, a certified entomologist, founded NJ Pest in 2001. The company is licensed to work in general pest control, including termites and wood-destroying insects. NJ Pest is also licensed to provide treatment in School Integrated Pest Management, as well as all types of food processing facilities. The company is also a state certified Animal Removal & Control company that performs animal removals 24/7 providing customers with optimal service to their home or business.

“Animal removal is just one part of the process, keeping them out is more important,” Sieb explained. “We provide complete animal exclusion services making sure the animals cannot re-enter a home or business. Very few pest control companies offer this service because of the amount of work involved in certain instances. Making sure your home or business is completely pest free is NJ Pest’s ultimate goal.”

For seven consecutive years, NJ Pest was voted “Best Pest Control” in Morris County by readers of The Daily Record newspaper.

Sieb received an A.S. in Criminal Justice in 1995, followed by a B.S. in the same major from Rutgers University in 2002.
